“零八奥运，印象中国”　　　　　摄影艺术展

2008 is a year that has a special meaning to every Chinese in that China will hold a grand world sports event for the first time. As is known, 2008 Olympic game will be held in this coming summer, and China will be the focus of attentions around the world. As the largest component of international students in OSU, Chinese students would like to create an opportunity for American students and faculties and international students from other countries to know more of China and share our perspectives. We are willing to tell everyone that “one world, one dream” is not a dream, open your eyes, join us and we’ll make the dream come true.

Photography and Cinema Club ( PCC@OSU ) will launch a large scale photographs exhibition during from the end of April to May, with cooperation of Chinese Students and Scholar Society (CSSS@OSU). The exhibition embodies three groups of photographs that were originally taken in China after 2000:

1) subjects about Olympics

2) scenery and nature

3) people and culture.

In total, over 100 photographs will be displayed on campus.

This exhibition provide a fantastic opportunity for American students or international students from other countries to know more of latest and first-hand information about Chinese pop culture, civilian’s daily life, and its fast development in economics growth. This experience may broaden OSU students’ outlook of the world, and encourage them to explore more international experience. In addition to experiential benefits, students can also benefit from this in terms of aesthetic education. Those eye-catching images are very likely to trigger their interests in photography, and promote their senses of artistic appreciation and critics. Anyone can feel like touching that oriental land, which is mystified by a mixture of traditional culture and modern urbanization; even he has not got a chance to travel by himself.

作为OSU 中国学生会迎奥运系列庆祝活动之一，本次摄影展由OSU 的摄影摄像俱乐部 (PCC) 和 OSU 中国学生学者联合会(Chinese Students and Scholars Society, CSSS) 共同主办。旨在通过中国人自己的摄影作品，真实记录和展现全国人民参与奥运的精神风貌，展现发展中的中国在新千年建设中发生的翻天覆地变化、以及所呈现崭新的城市风貌和社会风貌。弘扬中华民族优秀的传统文化艺术，增进自强不息的民族精神和爱国主义思想。向多年未归的海外学子、华侨，以及国际友人提供一个从平民视角了解新中国的窗口。

活动细则

参展条件

1、作者：身份不限，作品数量不限。

2、作品内容：由本人在2000 年以后中国国内拍摄以下内容的作品，

(a) 奥运：奥运主题（更快、更高、更强；同一个世界，同一个梦想；我心中的奥林匹克；和谐、进步，永远的朋友；绿色奥运、科技奥运、人文奥运）相关的城市、人物、建筑，事件等。

(b) 人文：展现和谐中华大家庭团结、奋进、幸福的国民生活，反映城市发展、乡村变迁、社会风貌的人文作品，体现中国特色的环境或事件纪实。

3、作品形式：胶片或数码，不限后期处理，可以是单幅、系列照、或全景照。小样要求尺寸不大于800×600，允许有作者个性图章、签名、水印或边框。正式参展的作品数码原件，要求可打印尺寸不小于7 寸（7×5 英寸），即像素尺寸不小于2048×1536（等同于300 万像素），推荐jpeg 或tiff 文件格式。请注意，正式件不可以有图章、签名、水印或边框等不属于画面里的图案或文字出现。准备提交胶片作品的参展者，请提早联系我们，以免不能及时收到您的作品。

4、时间轴:    小样征集截止，2008/3/28;
                        遴选，2008/3/22~4/6；
                        正式作品提交截至，2008/4/11；
                        展出时间2008/4/21~2008/5/5 （大约两周） @ OSU Campus

5、奖励：尽管我们是非营利性的学生组织，还是努力给与对本次展览有突出贡献的人员（参展作品数前八位）准备了总值200 美金的奖品或纪念品。所有参展选手都将会在活动结束后得到一本包括全部展出作品的电子相册，和证书一份。

参展方式

1、不论胶片或数码作品，请按要求将图片小样或原件（可自由选择）和描述性文字发到邮箱 OSU.PCC@gmail.com

附件尺寸请勿大于15MB，并请在邮件主题上注明“参选小样” (Participation Sample) 的字样。必要的描述性文字包括：姓名、拍摄地点、拍摄时间（可选）、标题（中英文），以及关于图片的补充说明不超过50 字（最好附有英文）、稳定可靠的联系方式如email或电话等。

2、PCC 社团的成员以及当地的摄影的爱好者及专业人士将及时对送达的作品小样进行编号遴选，并根据已经送达的作品数量，最后将选出100~200 幅作品作为最后的参展作品。

3、对于最后确定参赛的作品，我们将以最快的速度联系作者（您所提供的稳定可靠的联系方式将是十分重要的），签署版权使用协议。请在接到我们通知后尽快发送全尺寸的数码文件和必要的描述性文字、推荐打印要求到 OSU.PCC@gmail.com

附件尺寸请勿大于15MB，并请在邮件主题上注明“参展作品” (Exhibition Photo) 的字样，我们将统一打印。对于入选的胶片作品，我们会单独联系您，告知送递方式。

权利与责任

1、版权问题：我们尊重拍摄者对照片所持有的知识产权。参赛者先发小样，减少了不必要的原件拷贝和传播，避免了未入选作品的意外流失。对于直接发送原件的参选作品，我们将默认为作者放弃这一权利。我们将有权在网络宣传上张贴和使用所有参选的小样，因此我们提倡您将您个性化的签名、图章、水印或边框加在你的作品小样上。当然，如果您仍然强烈反对将您的作品小样公开，请单独和我们联系，或在描述文字里特别注明。对签署版权使用协议的参展作品，在展出期间或在处理跟展出相关的事务上我们对您发送的图片原件享有使用权和复制权。

2、对于活动期间由于邮寄和网络传送问题导致的作品延误、丢失、版权盗用，我们概不负责。

3、PCC@OSU 对本次活动有解释权。
